  1. Rashi says that all 10 commandments are addressed within this parsha and therefore it is an excellent mini model of the entire torah and worth reading to everyone

  3. This parsha was said in front of all the people because the main parts of the torah are in this parsha. Also the theme of judeism being viewed as a unit is in this parsha. The torah commands us in this parsha not to reprimand a fellow jew. Rabbi Eli Scheller says that when the torah tells us this it is trying to show to us a theme that we the jews are one, and should be viewed as one unit. It is showing that when someone commits a sin you can potentially get punished for it also, because maybe you could have stopped it. And that is why this parsha is mentioned in front of everyone, to convey that we are one unit with whatever we do. Also, the chaftetz chaim adds that we are obligated to inspire our fellow jewish neighbors to do more mitzvot and make them closer to hashem.

  6. According to bensalemoutreach.org the reason why the Parsha of kedoshim was taught in public was because the Hashem wants to demonstrate the value of these crucial commandments. The Torah wants to teach that the level of Kedusha which is expected of us, can be attained by every Jew. The key to obtaining this level of kedusha is through the Mitzvot because the Jewish people as a whole are already kadosh.

  8. According to Ibn Ezra the reason it says Mose should speak to אֶל־כָּל־עֲדַ֧ת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל is because in this case this excluded resident aliens. The reason why they have to specifically be excluded from these commandments is because they were included before when commanded no to commit sexual offences.
